What I Love Now

Though not related to jewelry, one of my favorite things right now is the release (last week) of the Warren Haynes solo album entitled Man in Motion. its soulful and bluesy and i could listen to it all day. You may know warren from the allman brothers, gov’t mule or the grateful dead but this is different. Though he is my brother-in-law, i am not being biased…Rolling Stone ranks him as the 23rd best guitarist of ALL TIME but his souful voice is magical too. www.warrenhaynes.net

I just wrapped up all the trunk shows for the spring season and wanted to thank everyone who hosted me….especially all the Neiman Marcus stores across the country.  We had so much fun in nine of the NM stores ranging from chicago to dallas to here in my hometown DC - everyone was so supportive of our line! My spring line was filled was creamy neutral tones and corals and 18k gold vermeil…the coral and rock crystal piece is one of my favs as is the long neck with pearl and mexican fire opal (and buffalo horn too). We have also shipped our summer collection which includes pieces with beautiful natural chalcedony, green amethyst and aquamarine and freshwater pearls with amethyst or rose quartz…all in sterling silver.  We’ve just finished the fall 2011 line and am really excited about it–lots of color and bold gold! in stores early august.. more on that later:)  best, dina mackney
